Entry #0. Leave It or Like It (Blog Edition)

Blogging. It’s been around for years and attracted a big audience for good reason. You can find a blog about almost anything, like cars (Autoblog), cooking (Cookie + Kate), and fashion (Harpers BAZAAR); there are also some odd ones like (wtf Renaissance) where modern captions are given to renaissance paintings. Since there are so many blogs on the internet, I am guaranteed there is at least one for everybody, but not every single one published will satisfy everyone. I am interested in fashion and personal care blogs, so I wouldn’t like to read blogs about cars or sports.

Harper Bazaar

I am very interested in anything to do with fashion and beauty, so a blog I like is Harper Bazaar. This blog is known for having the latest news and trends within the fashion and beauty community. Especially with New York Fashion Week this past week, this blog updated those who weren’t invited with what they missed. If you ever lack ideas of new pieces to add to your wardrobe to spice up your basic outfit, Harper Bazaar is a great blog to read for inspiration. Since I am curious about celebrities and what they are currently up to, I also like to read articles about them. However, there seems to be blogs that can take their research too far. While overlooking a couple of blogs, I had quite a hard time finding a blog that I genuinely disliked, but after hard thinking, I remembered the blog TMZ. They are known for reporting celebrity drama and releasing private information the public shouldn’t know about until celebrities decide to announce it. I am not gonna lie; I have read articles from this blog page more than once, but I don’t agree with everything they do. According to Krystie Lee, there have

TMZ

been various ex-employees who have come about and said TMZ had a toxic workspace.
There have also been reports of TMZ releasing the news of celebrities passing before their immediate family knows. This happened in 2020 with the death of Kobe Bryant. They also have said that they only hire a handful of black people and women as employees only because they "have to." Based on the stuff I found surrounding TMZ as a company, I can now say I don't support them. They have made it clear where they stand based on their morals, and it's not a blog I would want to read in the future.

Since not everybody is the same, we might disagree about our favorite blogs, but the great thing is that there are so many out there on the internet! This prompt has brought me a lot of curiosity, so I want to know. What's one of your favorite blogs?
