Entry #1. My Happy Place

     Hello everyone & welcome to my blog page! I would like to take this time to introduce myself; my name is Estrella, I am 18 years old, and ever since I was very little, I have loved to do anything that brought out my creativity. In Elementary school, I would get so excited when we were given an assignment that included coloring/drawing or told we had to participate in the yearly winter concerts. As I got older, I was given more freedom to choose the classes I wanted to take, which helped me explore my interests further. I then joined two clubs in high school, show choir and yearbook. These clubs were enjoyable for the first 2 years, but eventually, I grew out of them by my Junior year. To this day, I really like to part take in these interests and participate in new ones that catch my eye.

    As I got older, I developed hobbies that let me explore that creative side of me, so recently, I have grown such a big interest in video editing, doing nails, and making collages/scrapbooking. I love to learn the different elements you can add to videos to make them more appealing to your audience. I've been wanting to grow my knowledge of how to use Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Illustrator, but I can't find any time in the day to actually sit down and play around with the apps. The one hobby I am consistent with is doing my own nails! I started learning about nails and how to do them when I was around 13. As the years went by, my love for this hobby only grew; I find it very therapeutic to sit down and stay focused on perfecting my nails as to how I want them. Since doing nails is more of a hobby than a job to me, I still haven't practiced how to do them in a short amount of time. When planning to do them, I either have to split the process into two days or clear my schedule for the next 6 hours to finish them. Another hobby I picked up over winter break is creating collages and scrapbooking. I haven't done as many collages as I'd like to, but when I have time, they're fun to make. Last month, I actually sat down with two other friends and created mood boards for the new year, and It was so much fun; I would definitely recommend it for other people to do since you can see all your goals for the rest of the year all on one board!

    I want to create more this year to see what things I can make and see how much more I can learn about my hobbies. Hopefully, soon enough, I will find more time throughout my day to do all of the things I've been wanting to do and find even more hobbies that I love!
